Studio News

My blog is the best way to get my recent news. My work is going into a number a new directions and the blog has my list of current shows. Current Events

I am one of the featured artists in a recent issue of “monoprint-monotype”, an ezine which has focus on monoprints and monotypes in printmaking. You can see the issue at https://issuu.com/dskolberg/docs/monofall2016

I’ve been very busy creating new work here in California. We moved out here a few years ago, and I’ve re-established myself in my home studio. I am preparing for a show that I do each fall at the LA Printers Fair, along with publishing postcards of my work which seem to sell at this venue.

Current Portfolios

The photo above shows the type of press that I used at West Cove Studio to create monotypes. Since I knew that I could not bring a giant Brand Intaglio press into my condo, I recently bought myself a new baby press which is wonderful. It is a Blick press which so far seems to work just fine.

New work just off the press, it needs a few more layers of color.

It might not look nearly as impressive as the one above. But it’s going to make things easier in a number of ways.

From 2004 to 2013, I was a founding member of West Cove Studio & Gallery, a cooperative, artist run gallery; consisting of 2,400 sq. ft. studio in a renovated factory building that dates back to the 1860’s, located in West Haven, CT. It was a great space, really fun to work in, and I miss everyone there a great deal. For now, I am leaving the photo of the large press up on the page, I miss the place too much.
